So I missed a couple days, does anyone care. I don't think so. It just me. We have been in the deep freeze for the past couple days. Early a.m. temps a negative 15 degrees. This makes it really miserable to go out and about.
I got a call from Angie, the kid did is first make wet and dump in the big boy potty. He is so excited. She is calling everyone and "daddy" is coming home to check it out. I think he should be easy to train now that he has done it once. You can definitely tell when he is ready, he usually goes off to the side, stands and grunts and poses. Good luck to all.

When is too old too old?
When everyone else is the class is late 20's and early 30's is that when the grandma feels old? Missed one week of dance class and was absolutely lost. The 50 something brain has trouble getting passed the 3rd count of 8. Weird how we all have a different styles of learning. I need to see it, do it and write it down before the memory fades. So 30 something gals watch out for my steps next week. By the way, where were my other 40 - 50 something tappin gal friends? Are you ditchin me?

I was missed
Okay, so 4:30 a.m. blinked on the the clock. I can not believe it's Monday and I'm back into the reality of my life. My supervisor stopped by my office on his way in this a.m. and told me how much he missed me last week. It makes me happy to know he knows how much work I do. Sometimes, those of us who go about our jobs in our own way and complain very little get the least bit of acknowledgement. It seems the negative workers sometimes get the most. Why is this? They just want to shut them up?
So I hit the workout again this p.m., did a great burn and came home exhausted.
The weather is turning bitter cold this week and into next. When's my next tropical vacation?

Back to the ho/hum life
1/11/08 Yeh, well vacation ends abruptly once you step off the plane. All the life you left behind for a week comes swirling back to meet you in a cloud of laundry, a pile of mail and an empty refigerator. I threw in a load of laundry and headed up to work on my body at Curves. We have a new system in place now which is a personal computerized workout that tracks your workouts. This was my most successful caloric burn yet, 397 calories and an exhausted shaking body. Took me a while to recover. I did work out 4 times on vacation and thought I kept myself going, but I must have been going, going, gone because it was not easy hopping back to my personalized workout. This is the year to get myself back into the mind and body I use to know and have.
Toddler/Son-in-laws Vacation First & Last????
We started out at 4:15 a.m. from the Maiwurm drive-way on Friday the 4th of Janury. What a great flight we had. Sun Country had wonderful service to WPB including leaving MSP on time and arriving WPB early. The cutest thing ever was: Angie and Ryan had been preparing Hayden all week for the Maiwurm/Boeckmann "blast off". Well here's the picture, he has been looking at the plane from inside the airport but does not quite connect the dots. The little guy is just a truckin pulling his little suitcase of Thomas the trains and books down the tunnel to the plane. He gets to the entrance of the plane and freezes. Angie and Ryan have to pick him and carry him onto the plane and it takes a good half an hour to settle him down. Angie finally talked him into once we were in the air he could watch his Little Einstein Kids "blast off" too.
It took two cars to get all of us and baggage from the airport. Ray picked up the guys and Judy picked up the girls and one Hayden. I guess the guys forgot he was a guy too. Oh well, the women all love him. I'm trying to remember, I think it rained on and off the first two days. But by the time we checked into the timeshare on Sat. the skies had cleared the temps had warmed and it was beautiful the rest of the week.
Angie, Ryan and Hayden slept in one bedroom with a make shift bed for the kid. Grandma G was suppose to ship up his Grandma G bed but somehow it was lost and Ryan had to intercept the UPS shipment and have it shipped to Ray and Judy's. I think it arrived Tues. p.m., and he slept on it the rest of the time. Just so you know, Ryan slept like a baby, Angie had restless sleep and Hayden snuggled with Angie on and off. Michelle and Nate had the hide-a-bed and hid it away and moved on to Ray and Judy's guest house from Monday on. They just got up early and returned to bond at the timeshare each morning. The "master" of the family slept great in the master bedroom also.
The Floridian sunrises were beautiful each morning. I, myself, headed out early each a.m. to work on my curves at the local Curves. Michelle, Angie (sometimes Nate or Ryan) and kid headed to the park just about every morning. The Minnesota Nice came thru at the park for Hayden, the Fla. kids are not big on manners yet. Hayden's saying: "everyone take turns everyone have fun."
Ryan's cutest episode: guy at the pool told Ryan he had a cute kid "Ryan says thanks I put everything I had into him."
Angie's mom statement: Angie tells Ryan to get up, he says "I'm tired" Angie says and I'm not?
Michelle and Nate managed to do the fun things I would have liked to do. Like walking the nice shopping areas and stopping for a dessert and wine. Maybe in my next life.
Not sure how soon the next "fam vac" will be but there definitely will be one.
